Readers field

Hi,

I have been out of Notes Development for awhile so please be easy on me.

We have a 10 year old database that users are having trouble viewing their documents in.

When creating a new posting an authorized readers field on the new form performs a dblookup to a view for a field that contains who can read and see those documents. It also uses a key field on the new posting to lookup the correct authorized readers field. The auth readers are different per a location field.

I am not in any of those authorized readers fields, so I cannot see any of the documents. I only see the create dates in the view. The users maintain these authorized readers fields as the dept changes.

It seems some users can see more documents than others due to this.

To get to my question, this database had grown to 2gig and was showing it was completely compacted. So I ran a fixup and an updall on the database along with a load compact -C -D -i. That reduced the database size down considerably.

But now the users say they do not see their documents.

Does anyone know why? We performed a restore on the database from a couple of weeks ago and they still do not see the documents.

Is there a way to show all documents in a view even if I am not in the readers field? I am wondering if the documents are there and we just don’t have a view to see them. Or somehow could the readers field on the documents show no readers.

Thanks for any help.

The server admin can open the database in full access administration mode and see everything.

Thank you for the response!

Is there a special way to open the database in full access administration? I am listed in the server doc as a full access administration and have gone into the administrator for the server and performed a 'Administration ’ - ‘Full access administration’. I still can’t see the documents. Although, I can see the date created, but when I expand the green twistie there are no documents.
