I would like to re-schedule how often the out of office agent runs on all mailfiles in our notes domain. Instead of running once a day I would like to change it to run every 30 minutes.Is there any easy way of doing this in bulk?

In release 6 defaults are 4 times a day not once a day. Our performance analysis showed that this was hte best configuration which balance response time to server load.

Any bulk changes could be done once in a template which will be then propagated to the users via design update.
You might find Agent FAQ article about “Out of office agent” useful, it has a section on customization.

As default setting, it runs if new mail arrives or a document was changed…and the agent runs from each mailfile separatly, except you have shared mail

You’re not having a very good day today, are you Klaus - you’re wrong again.
By default, the Out of Office agent in the mail6.ntf template (which is the default template for mail files) doesn’t run on a trigger at all - it runs on a schedule (every 6 hours.)
If the mailfile was upgraded from an R5 system, then it might well have kept the original R5 schedule, which was once a day at 1:00 AM.

next time you make any predicate, you should ensure yourself by take a look in the original template settings

‘if new mail arrives’ is the name of a trigger (R5 name for ‘after mail arrives’ trigger),and ‘all new and modified documents’ is a selection criteria.
So Stephen was talking talking about the trigger and you were talking about selection criteria.
You said “it runs if new mail arrives or a document was changed”
Your terminology matched the trigger name closely enough that it was easy to misunderstand what you meant.

If the templace was upgraded to release 6 template the entire agent include the schedule would be updated.
