I have a large database of about 2.4 million records.
I have a separate database that I am using for archiving. An agent runs that looks at parent documents in the same database, gets a collections of child records and checks the date on each record. If all records are over certain age they copied to this database and deleted (removepermanently) from the main database.
This has been working fine but I came in over the weekend and found that the main database had increased by 60 000 records. How could this happen?
A further problem is with the administration server. We run a 2 server cluster and give people access to one of these and also make the corresponding entry in the ACL, Master Lock Server. I have just realised (mid afternoon) that someone gave access to the other server over the weekend but did not change the master lock server. What will the consequence of this be?
