One of our clients reported having an odd behavior with their Calendar colors. They reported that after changing the colors from the default set, that each time she opened the calendar and on a random basis. Either the colors would be the colors chosen or the default ones. This was reported as totally random in occurrences.

I found out that if someone has access to look at your calendar two things can happen. When a user is has your calendar open on their machine, then looking at your client’s calendar. The default colors appear on yours. If no one is looking at your calendar then you will see the selected colors you choose.
Or at least thats what seemed to happen. Now it seems that sometimes those scenarios occur and sometimes when no one is looking at the calendar then the defaults still appear.

Ummm, not good - I asked if we could get something moving on that…it is certainly really annoying to many.

Well, a hotfix was issued - not sure when I will deploy it, but they did issue a server patch.

We have the same thing here running Domino R6.5.4 servers and clients …It seems to be ACL related in that only users set to No Access but with Read Public Documents enabled (often the default setting for Default) see the default calendar colours and in turn affect other users, even the mailbox owner …
If you set these users to Reader then they see the customised colours all the time …
So this is one way to over come the issue, however you may not want to set the mailbox Default to Reader, we added the users individually that needed calendar access …
