R7 Web Service VS R8 Web Service

Is anyone else bothered by the fact that an R8 web service will not work in an R7 client?And once you compile the web service in R8 you can not recompile it in R7?

I have several web services in R7 that have worked very well over the past years.

Recompiled it in R8 and now it no longer works.

Tried to recompile it back to R7 and it would not allow me to even save the wev service.

The Stubby application from OpenNTF.org, will not compile a R8 web service and

any R7 web service that was run through the Stubby app, will not work in R8…

Does anyone have any helpful guidence here???

I would love to use Stubby but am running into the same problem you are having.

My environment is 7.0 although I am personally running the 8.0.2 client and developer app.

Have you found a work-around for this, or does anyone else have a response?

The only solution that I have is in LotusScriptthe java is very picky in this
