R7 server crash with INotes6 Address Lookup - SOLVED

We have upgraded our R6.5 server to R7. One user with Inotes6 mail template, clicks on “To” button while composing a new message from Internet Explorer.

User is scrolling down the address list from the popup, and after a few movement on scroll down, domino server crashes without any error!

NSD file is reporting memory read failure (access violation) for HTTP thread.

Converting mail db to dwa7.ntf solves the problem.

Problem case can be repeated in test platform with:

  • at least 50 entries in domino directory,

  • session authentication is enabled (single or multiple server),

  • Domino 7.0.2 server,

  • INotes6.ntf mail file.

It is probably a bug in Domino server 7 or mail template.

Thank you Serdar, this problem has been a nightmare for us the last days. Your message shows that we’re not the only one struggling with this problem.

Hopefully there’s a fix available from Lotus in the near future.

Same problem here after upgrading from 6.5.5 to 7.0.2.

Server crashes every few houres with Access Violation or Insufficent Memory in nhttp.

After opening an Prio 1 PMR, IBM was working on a Fix, for solving the problem. It worked…30h, then the next crash. I hope, the next Fix works better…
