A friend of mine who works for IBM mentioned that there are rumblings of an R7 client for linux.
Is there any truth this rumor?

Oh . . .my . . . GOSH!! I could only DREAM of such a thing. I would love to have Notes Client/Domino/Admin for Linux desktop. I don’t know why they have not been working on it in the past. They had (have) a version for X-Windows (4.6) that my MIS manager used to run on a laptop with AIX and X-Windows. Plus, with the code base being similar between the Server and the Client and considering they already have a Domino 6 Server for Linux . . . Come on IBM – we want a Linux Client. Lotus Notes/Domino/Admin client is the last piece of software I am waiting for to move myself off of Windows and onto Linux.

Notes client/domino/admin v5.11 works fine with wine under *x86 unix. i use it every day this way.
