R7 Development Upgrade Exam

Hi All,

I’m PCLP in R6 and am wondering if I should upgrade to R7 before the cut off date at the end of this year (if that’s right?).

Is there an upgrade route from R6 to R8? If not I’ll do the upgrade to R7 and would like to know if anyone could recommend any good BOOKS. In the past I’ve used study guide exam books for the R4 to R5 and R5 to R6 upgrade exams, but don’t seem to be able to find the same books anymore.

What would people suggest?

Hello Ross,

I was in the same situation like yours 4 weeks back when I started to study for my CLP AD7 update exam. There is no real good books written for this purpose. I posted questions in the IBM CLP forum asking information regarding the preparations and tips for Exam 701, however till now there is no responses. The forum nowadays are full of post for those who have passed asking where their certificates will be delivered to them and blah blah…

Gone are the days when fellow CLPs around the world help each others in the good old days. People seem to be too busy to get into the forums I guess…

Anyway, I’m still studying now and I used the exam guide and some directions from the IBM links:

Arm with the limit of the above 2 resources, I just play around with the Domino Designer, using its Help DB along the way.

Also a PCLP AD R6/6.5 wanting to upgrade to R7 in the last min :wink:

you need to take the upgrade to 7, or else you will need to take all tests for 7 or 8, once the upgrade for 7 expires.

Try CertFx tests, they’re pretty good.

there is no route from 6 —> 8you have to take the 7 exam
