XP is not supported. I don’t think it’ll run there at all any more.

Does it lock up or blue screen?
Personally, I have Domino 7.0.3 installed on Windows 2000 on a Virtual PC for my test environment, and it works just fine…
You are probably experiencing some sort of software conflict, I’d try booting to safe mode and disabling Lotus Domino Server in the system’s Services, then bring the system back up in normal mode. Once the system is up and running, try manually starting Domino and see what happens.

I will try the save mode. I am just trying to start it in the foreground, not as a service. When it crashes I get a blue screen with text and hex stuff. It appears to then start a checkdisk.

Ok, the server will run when manually started and I am running in Safe mode, but if running in normal mode, it crashes the machine (blue screen) when I start the server manually. Any ideas on what services I need to stop to be able to run a test server on my machine?

Subject: R7.0.2 server on XP Professional
I am runing 7.0.2 serverf on an XP Pro machine as a service and it is working fine. I have tried to get a Domino server to run on my Laptop but it crashes the laptop every time I start it. However, I know there are people running Domino 7 on a laptop using XP Home, so go figure.
I’ve been tempted to break the whole system down and re-install XP and just the stuff that I want, then see what happens, but I don’t have a day with nothing else to do.
