We are in the process of upgrading our App Servers to 6.5.2 from 5.0.10. Also, we have new boxes where we are setting up the new servers while the production servers running R5.0.10 are left untouched during R6 setup and testing.
We have made OS level copy (good idea or bad idea?) of all Application NSFs from R5 servers to the R6 servers.
The ODS for these NSFs is 41 and I wanted them to be ODS 43 before testing begins. I read the posts here regarding that and was expecting “Compact” to convert the ODS from 41 to 43. However, it didn’t. I used my R6 Administrator to do that and also tried it from DB properties box. I tried making a small change to one of the forms in one database and then compacted but ODS is still 41 (I want that to be 43) and the file extension is still .NSF (that is what I want).
What can I do to change the ODS to new version 43 and hence the testing will be more accurate.
