R6 mail template

Hi,

Previously I encounter some errors when I try to register a user in my company - “1 person failed registration or incompletely registered , see local note log for detail”

This error appeared when I renamed the standard template mail6.ntf on my registration server to mail6.bak. My company actually is using a customised template which the template name is different from mail6.ntf.

Question now is if my company is using a different name template, chould I remove the standard template from the data folder? or even delete the mail6.ntf from the data folder?

Hope someone could help me to clear my doubt. thanks a lot.

Remarks: I manage to resolve the problem when I hit this error - “1 person failed registration or incompletely registered , see local note log for detail” by rename back the mail6.bak to mail6.ntf.

Hi Ally

You need to edit your registration preferences in Domino Administrator.

To do this, open Administrator. Select the menu File/Preferences/Administration Preferences.

Click the “Registration” tab.

Click “Mail Options” button

Select your mail server, then select the Template from the list (filename is displayed at the bottom of the list)

We change the preference and it changes the “database properties name” but not the actual template name (.ntf). It continues to point to an old template which we no longer use and does not even exist anymore.
