We have a problem on R6 mail folders.
A user mail file is R6 folder and contains 2 sub-folders (not on the same parent folder)with the same folder name. The user is using R7.02 Client (Chinese Version)
When he browses the mailbox, one of the folders(same name, diff hierarchy) disappears and some of the mails in the disappeared folder APPEARS on the other folder.
However, when browsing the mail file with R6 Client or with R7 English Client, no problem at all.
Is there any way to fix this?

I discovered this exact problem today, and confirm that it happens in Notes 7.01 client as well.
In my example, I had the following parent folders…
A-project
A-project Tender
Under both folders I had a sub folder called of the same name.
What I found is, notes is getting confused and displaying both folders on top of one another in my example in the A-project Tender folder.
Interestingly, I could file mails into either of the sub folders using the folder button options and browsing through the folder tree.
The looks like a bug. I viewed the same mail file in R5 and the folders display properly.
The obvious work around in R7 is to rename the parent folder. You can do this “in place” and notes will apply this change down the entire folder tree.
I wonder if IBM is aware of this problem yet? I intend to report it tomorrow…
