R6 Client crash with error: LookupHandle:Null Handle

According to the upgrade of Lotus R6, the clients can be upgraded before the upgrade of servers. So I install a Notes R6.0.1 CF1 to test the existing applications. But whenever I tried to open an application on a R5.0.6a server, I got a red box displayed as below:

Sorry, an uncorrectable error has occured.

LookupHandle:Null handle

Press Enter to abort the application.

After I pressed Enter, a NSD log is generated in data\IBM_TECHICAL_SUPPORT directory. The log is as below. It’s only part of the log as the log is very big.

I have searched the related post on NOTES.NET. A lot of errors like that are found, but none of them can provide a solution for me. Could somebody help me out of this? Many Thanks.

The log is posted below:

Subject: R6 Client crash with error: LookupHandle:Null Handle

A search of our internal SPR database indicates that this is probably fixed in Domino 5.0.12. The call stack isn’t exactly the same, but it’s quite close.

Subject: RE: R6 Client crash with error: LookupHandle:Null Handle

Thanks, Jim. Does it mean I have to have the server upgraded to Domino 5.0.12 before the clients upgraded to R6? It looks not making any sense…
