on my newly created r6 domain (where everything is running fine) i have just one problem: in Domino Administrator on the FILES Tab i can see the list of files für the root-directory on the server correctly. all foldernames are shown as well. but when i click a folder to view its items the folders are all empty! clicking on the button “All” (to show all files without a tree-view) everything is shown fine. clicking on “Tree” again… no files in folders!
this happens with my id, the id of the administrator-account and with full access administration enabled - no files in folders!
i tried it with domino administrator 6.0.3 and 6.5 - both the same!
Subject: RE: R6 Administrator, Files Tab: No db’s shown in Subfolders!
Just found a strange thing - and a sort-of a work-around.In Admin, if I right-click the mail folder, and click “Delete Folder …”, it displays a confirmation box that says “do you really want to delete N:\ail ?” - note that the leading character of the folder name has been truncated. (Click No to this question !).
So, I then created a new folder called “mmail” - the word “mail” with an extra character on the front - guess what ? I can see my mail db’s in the new “mmail” folder !
I can create additional new folders, with ANY leading character followed by “mail”, and they all “see” the dbs that are in the OS folder called “mail”.
I don’t know why this is happening, looks like a bug to me.
Just thought I’d share, in case it helps others with the same problem …
