Hello,

Can i install a domino server R6 to a domino domain with R5 server?

if yes, there are no conflict with the names.nsf design?

Hi, It’s possible but dont replicate the names design between R5 and R6 server.

But there’s some problems for R6 users to validate a meeting comming from R5 users.

Replication settings on both databases set to for when A replicates with B don’t replicate design checkbox and for when B replicates with A don’t replicate design checkbox;

Use Database Properties; Replication Settings; Advanced Tab: Section “Receive these elements from other replicas” uncheck the “Design Elements” option.

Subject: You can replicate the design

R5 servers will run just fine with a ND6 Domino Directory design… It was designed that way on purpose.

The only reason you wouldn’t want to replicate the ND6 design is if older clients are using the Domino Directory on the R5 server and the newer design elements don’t render properly for them.
