When searching for a free room or resource using the "Find Room or Resource " button in a new meeting form within one’s calendar, if there are a large number of hits for your search criteria, the max results displayed is 50. You know and I know that is ENOUGH to provide a sensible person with a good choice, but… can that max be changed? Also what is the selection logic behind the search as it gives a different, seemingly random set of 50 hits each time (not the “philosophical logic” mind you, as again, you and I know that answer to that one too).

Where did you get your knowledge that the number of resources given back is limited to 50? I cannot find it in the help file, nor can I find any limitation in the mailtemplate (this holds the code to do the search).

From simple observation and testing. We have a lot of rooms and resources. When our users search for something that we know has more that 50 matches, they get a max of 50 hits every time. If they click the search button again, they get a different set of 50 hits as well. Since some of our more simple resources are named along the lines of Resource 1, Resource 2,… Resource 100, it is very easy to see. Try it yourself.
