Error is with “Auto adjust panes at runtime” option in Navigator properties.
When launching (only launching) a database with a full screen navigator - the auto adjust does not work.
Here is how to reproduce it and how the workaround works.

Create a full screen navigator (enable auto adjust panes at run time) - include a hotspot to open. We’ll title this NAV1

Create another full screen navigator (enable auto adjust panes at run time) - this is optional but it helps prove when the problem occurs. We’ll title this NAV2

Create a standard narrow navigator with a view showing (enable auto adjust panes at run time). We’ll title this NAV3

NAV1 should have a hotspot that opens NAV2

NAV2 should have a hotspot that opens NAV3

NAV3 should have a hotspot that opens NAV1

Set database properties to “Open Designated Navigator” - “Standard Navigator” - “NAV1”

Open database - NAV1 will open (narrow, auto adjust will NOT work)

Click on hotspot and open NAV2 - NAV2 will open (full screen, auto adjust works)

Click on hotspot and open NAV3 - NAV3 will open (narrow, auto adjust works)

If you stop here and close the database - this will always be the behavior.
Workaround

From NAV3, click on hotspot and open NAV1 - NAV1 will open (full screen, auto adjust works)

From this point on when you launch the database NAV1 will open full screen, with auto adjust working.
Hope this helps others who might be seeing this behavior - hope IBM is able to fix this in upcoming release.
