I installed 6.5 Beta M2 on SuSE 8.2 a few months ago. The only problem I had was that when I started up the server the very first time, it gave the error message:

“/opt/lotus/notes/latest/linux/server: error while loading shared libraries: libstdc+±libc6.1-1.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory”

To fix this, I had to find a copy of the shared library file:

libstdc+±libc6.1-1.so.2

from a SuSE 7.3 system and copy it to /usr/lib on my 8.2 system, and then Domino 6.5 started up and ran, and seemed to work just fine.

I installed R6.5 on Suse 8.2 last week and have no problem so far.
