Quickr 8.1 installation on server 8.0.1 fails!

I’m trying to install Quickr 8.1 on our Domino server 8.0.1, which has no previous Quickplace or Quickr products installed. So this should be a fresh install.

The Quickr product we got: IBM Lotus Quickr 8.1 services for Lotus Domino Windows English (C1D7AEN). Is this the right one?

I carefully followed the installation instructions but the setup program keeps saying “Lotus Quickr 8.1 cannot upgrade Quickplace 7.0 or earlier releases. You must upgrade the server to Quickr 8.0 or above before upgrading to Lotus Quickr 8.1”. What does this mean? What don’t have any Quickplace installed on the current Domino server at all.

Any ideas or suggestions?
