Questions about Domino Everyplace

My customer has approximately 500 remote field service technicians that are currently using Windows Mobile PDAs with a commercial wireless service and WECM VPN. They are looking to connect these users to their corporate Lotus Notes system for email.

I am investigating Lotus Domino Everyplace as a potential solution and just wanted to clarify a few things before recommending this approach …

  1. Is this product bundled with Domino 6/7? And if so, does that mean that a separate user license is no longer required?

  2. Does this get installed on top of Domino or on a separate server?

  3. Does it provide support for viewing/saving email attachments?

  4. Our customer is looking for a simple solution to get them started - Is this a solid product that is continuing to be supported or is there a better option available?

I appreciate any information you can provide.

I have much smaller number of users and also looking for solution. I was trying to find eval for Everyplace but look like it is not avaliable for download at all. On this forum you will find few more solution recommended from BES, http.//www.commontime.com

to now Motorora BlackBerry – Intelligent Security. Everywhere.. It is really something you have to test to see it. I have tested www.alwaysonmail.com and http://www.mail-e-on-air.com/. Both works but you have to know what you are looking for … I hope also that somebody will answer your questions since I got same ones …
