Question on exporting data to text file via LotusScript

I’m working on an agent to create a fixed-width text file of data from documents. I’m creating the file fine, no errors, no real problems however each line of my data is wrapped in double quotes.

So while I’m expecting to see something like this:

FIELD1FIELD2FIELD3

I’m getting:

“FIELD1FIELD2FIELD3”

I think these extra quotes are going to really confuse the people who will consume this file and I’d like to eliminate this.

If anyone has any ideas I’d appreciate it!!

Thanks

Dave

Some test code that I’m using is below.

Dim session As New notessession

Dim db As notesdatabase

Dim collect As notesdocumentcollection

Dim doc As notesdocument

Dim fname As String * 10

Dim lname As String * 10

Dim title As String * 10

Dim row As String

Set db = session.currentdatabase

Set collect = db.unprocesseddocuments

Set doc = collect.getfirstdocument

' Get a Free FileNumber

Dim filenum As Integer

filenum = Freefile()

' Create the file

Open "c:\exporttest.txt" For Output As filenum% Charset="ascii"

Do Until doc Is Nothing

	' Get the fields from the doc

	fname = doc.firstname(0)

	lname = doc.lastname(0)

	title = doc.title(0)

	' Combine the fixed width fields

	row = fname + lname + title

	' Add the row to the file

	Write #filenum%, row

	Set doc = collect.getnextdocument(doc)

Loop

Close filenum

Try changing: Write #filenum%, rowto:

Print #filenum%, row

(untested)

Nevermind… I think I found the answer.

It appears that I need to use the Print # statement rather then the Write # Statement.
