Help included with Notes 8.5.3 says application’s “purge interval” (applicable to deleted documents) is equal to 1/3 the number of days specified in the “Remove documents not modified in the last” field.
By other hand, the document titled “The documents that would not die!” (http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/bpmpblog.nsf/dx/docs-that-would-not-die) states that purge interval is 1 1/3 of the value set in the field mentioned above.
Which of these is the correct one?

Subject: Purge Interval is 120 days
I did some tests in the Lab using Domino 8.5.3 & Notes 8.5.3 finding that Purge Interval = 1 1/3 times the default value of “Remove documents not modified in the last (days)” field under “Space Savers” tab in the “Replication Settings” dialog box which is 90 days, so it is equal to 120 days. It does not matter if you change this value, purge interval will remain being 120 days.
Something else that I discovered is that PIRC worked even when “Enable Purge Interval Control” PIRC checkbox is not ticked. Any idea?
