Purely intellectual question on date format

Does any one know what the number represents if you (accidentally) use yyy instead of yyyy?

For example:

dd mmmm yyy for today 21/11/2006 returns 21 November 06325

It looks like 06 = year 325 = day of year.

It looks like Domino’s date format parser matches the longest possible specifier, then continues parsing the remainder of the string. So “yyy” is parsed as “yy” plus “y”.

yy

The last two digits of the year (00 - 99). If you specify yy in Notes or Domino, LotusScript interprets 50 through 99 as the years 1950 through 1999 and 00 through 49 as the years 2000 through 2049. Note that SmartSuite interprets yy differently.

y

Day of the year as a number (1 - 366).
