I have a view with several columns and one of them shows a date field. Now, the user should be enabled to select all documents in that view within a selected date range (from…to…date range).
e.g. all documents between 16 Jan and 9 Feb.
Is it possible to allow user input at a view level?
I haven’t got an example of this, as I’ve never done it, but if I were to do it I’d do with folders rather than views. Use a LS agent / code behind a button to grab the ‘By User Date’ folder (or whatever you want to call it), use RemoveAllFromFolder method to empty it, put up a couple of input boxes to get start and end date, build a NotesDocumentCollection to grab the docs between the date ranges entered, then run through the document collection using the PutInFolder method to re-populate the ‘By User Date’ folder.
If you read up on NoteDocumentCollections and RemoveAllFromFolder / PuInFolder in the Notes Designer help you should be able to work out how to do what you want.
