Proxy requires a user login... Don't work as well

Hello,

In Lotus Notes R6.0.2CF2, there’s a new feature that you can specify a user to authenticate in proxy when open a HTML message. In the User’s Location, on teh Basics tab, in the proxy field, I entered, put my proxy configurations, and marked the checkbox “Proxy requires a user login”, typed my user login, and set my password. Until now, ok. But when I open a message with HTML format, prompt me for my user logon and password. If I put it, it’s works during this Notes session, but I want that always do not prompt for the login and password.

By the way, I’m using Windows 2000 Professional with Active Directory, and ISA Server 2000 proxy.

Any helps will be appreciate

Thanks and best regards,

Leonardo Costa

Dear Leonardo,

I have had the same problem. You must disabled anonymous access for ISA Server and set your user name in User’s Location in format “domain.com\username”.

Please try set your ISA Server according to this toturial:

I suposse You have Active directory or You have a ISA just like a proxy.

You can view on “right click” of your ISA in ISA management Console type of authentication.

There is Web Outgoing requests tab You can edit that on Basic and than put in Notes

user login:domain\username and password

Try all with different type of authentication on ISA this maybe work with digest authentication also which is secure method.
