We are having problems with getting HTML Emails, RSS feeds and Google Gadgets to work in the Notes 8.0.1 client.
Our environment is behind a proxy that requires Authentication. Every computer has the Firewall client for ISA server installed which is supposed to authenticate the windows login with the proxy so that it does not need to be specified within the Notes Client location documents. This has worked fine with the Notes 6.5.4 and 7.0.3 clients.
Since upgrading to 8.0.1, I can get images in HTML emails if no proxy details are supplied in the location document; as before. However, RSS Feeds and Google Gadgets do not work.
If I specify the proxy and proxy login details in the location document, I can get the RSS Feeds working, and I can add Google Gadgets, but I can no longer get images in my HTML emails!
It seems to be an either/or situation - I can’t get all three working together! Browsing through the client browser works fine either way, but then I assume that it is getting it’s proxy details from Internet Explorer.
I have searched this forum where people have had similar problems, but have been unable to find a solution so far.
