Properties Window resize/copy-able properties

I’m happy that many dialogs in Notes 6.x are now resizable, however one of the most critical is the Properties window. If you have a long path for a db this is truncated. This would be OK if the properties themselves were not locked text, i.e. if they could be cursored and copied to the clipboard then this would be very useful. (like Windows file properties)

I’m sure I read a long time ago that this was going to be done in R6. Oh well.

Subject: Properties Window resize/copy-able properties

Yeah, tell me about it. It drives me nuts!

It is amazing how basic, simple things seem to evade intelligent people.

Maybe somebody can explain to me why windows (and notes running under it) sucks so immensely in this aspect.

I mean it is almost a joke: You got your 1600 x 1200 pixel super high resolution, got a window with 300 x 200 pixes, non resizable and inside you got a selection box that does not even fill the whole box with enables you to browse your 546’567 elements and the scroll bar is jumping 250 elements with every pixel!

Please, “we are in the 21st century, HOW HARD is is to code a window that is resizable?” Let ME decide how big I want it.

I am just wondering because I used to have this on my AMIGA computer in 1988 and that is some 16 years ago.

Why can’t we be able to use your high screen resolution, instead of having a stuborn tiny window mock us for it?

It’s not like we are dumbed-down users and we’ll call the helpdesk and go “hey, I resized this window and now it is covering my whole screen, I can’t see anymore.”
