id like to write a little application in c++ whitch opens an email form in notes that already contains the receiver, subject and body. Now, I’ve seen, that the developper api only supports windows until 2000 and not windows xp. Is that correct? Or is there another library that I can use?

Client for w2k and xp is the same one = the same dll’s.Your program should work on both.

as haris mentioned it should work, even if they say it’s not supported.
c++ api is c-api based and there’s not much platform specific stuff inside - if anything at all:)
which c++ version are you using? cause usually there are only restrictions for notes releases with certain os versions. and there are restrictions for c++ api to notesversions.
but i’ve never seen any link between api-version and os (that is different from os compatibility list for client version)
