I have a form with an embedded view on it, I wish to drop the “first” document from the view, BUT, I can’t use &Start=2 on the QueryString
Is there another way to “set” &Count and &Start without having to put them on the QueryString?
I wish to do something like if the Query_string has &Lead on it, set Count=100 and Start=2 but not actually put them on the querystring, so it happens on the form…
Cheers

Yes you can use &start=2 plus all other view arguements on an embedded view in a form but in order to do so you must use ?OpenView instead of ?OpenForm or ?ReadForm in your URL to access the form with the embedded view.

Hi Melissa,
Hmm I’m not sure thats right, what I want to do is NOT put &Start=2 on the QueryString but instead somehow do it programmatically on the Form.
So if the query string looked like
/db.nsf/form?ReadForm&Lead&cat=xxx
I already use the “show single category” to compute off &cat on the querystring, but I wish to be able to somehow tell the embedded view to set it’s &Start=2&Count=100 but not have to do it on the querystring…
Pity there isn’t a $Start or some other field I can put on my form that the embedded view with look at?
So I guess I’m asking if anyone knows of a way to do it?

Put it in the query string and adjust your category formula to exclude “&start=…” from the right of the string.
I don’t think that you can do this using fields on the form
