I want to set up programmable tables without the need to give users the ability of editting/saving.
By their nature, programmable tables require a user click on (in my case) a button which sets a field on the document – $tablename – to a value of row1name, row2name, row3name etc.
In my database, documents are opened using Form formOne. On formOne are action buttons to take the user to tableOne (which contains four tabs) and a specific tab. So there are four buttons - one for each tab/row. Each button also changes the form to formTwo so when you click a button only tableOne is displayed. (tableOne isn’t displayed when the document is opened using formOne)
As a result of the current setup, when a user clicks the button for row2, the form is changed, tableOne is displayed, and tab2/row2 is displayed. However, this also means that $tableOne on the document is set, thereby forcing a save. I don’t want my users saving the document.
How can I accomplish this? Thanks
