I keep getting the following message on the console every minute. I am running Domino 8.5 64-bit on Windows 2008 Standard 64-bit.

Process C:\Windows\system32\mmc.exe (4060/0xFDC) has terminated abnormally.

What would be causing this and how can I fix it?

This just started on my servers after I added Create_R85_Database=1 to the Notes.ini file.

Hi, just wondering if you find the solution to correct this error? Just Install Domino V8.5 32 Bit on Windows 2003 server and have the same issue.

Subject: This fixed it for me

I was having the same problem but it took months before the mmc.exe started terminating abnormally every single minute. For a very long time it would only terminate every so often.

I renamed the mmv.exe file to mmc.old then restarted Domino. Problem did not go away.

I went back and found that a new mmc.exe had been created and I ran it then found that others had previously opened the services snap in (from the recent files menu) and I opened that. When I went to shut down MMC Console a prompt appeared saying the services snap in was saved using an earlier version of mmc and did I want this to be updated to the new version. I said yes. Rebooted the machine and the problem went away.

Though this might help others in the future.

mmc.exe is calling NotesInit and exiting without calling NotesTerm… Two questions… What is causing it to call NotesInit and second why is it exiting without calling NotesTerm.
