Hi all,
I am trying to use OLE calls to print PDF files. I previously had this working, but now when I use the same code I get the error :
“Cannot create automation object”
When executing the line :
Set app = CreateObject(“AcroExch.App”)
I tried out the old application, and lo and behold, it also was not working in there anymore!
The user selects documents, and runs the agent which should then do the following :

Create an Adobe reader application

Create a PDF document
-
Load an external pdf document (detached from the notes doc(s) in this case)
-
Print the document
-
Close document
-
Close Adobe reader
As I said, I had this previously working quite a while ago when I first wrote the old application.
I saw another comment on these forums to create an “AcroExch.Document” instead. This does not produce any error, but for the life of me I cannot find any documentation on Functions or Methods to use with the object this creates.
Going into the Reference browser for OLE Classes in designer, I can see plenty of Adobe types, although they are neither “.App” or “.Document”. I see AcroApp, AcroAVDoc, AcroPDDoc etc. I can find documentation on all these, but cannot seem to figure out how to access them through notes.
Any help with why this is happening, or advice muchly appreciated.
