A couple weeks ago we started having a intermittent issue sending email to yahoo. Out of 100 emails we send 20 will error. Below is the error we get
03/02/2011 18:03:16 Router: Message 007EA372 NOT transferred via SMTP to j.mx.mail.YAHOO for xxx@yahoo.com 550 Hostname/Domain name not valid or not available.
Now I think the issue is that the smtp hostname is missing the “.com” What would cause this? No other emails we send are having this issue, and nothing that we know of has changed.

Anyone have a clue on this. I just feel like I’m missing something. We’re also seeing slow response when sending to gmail accounts now. Not sure what could have changed.

Has anyone found an answer to this issue? We too have had problems for the last few months, not all email to yahoo is a problem, but for 2 users, I know it still errors out.
