I know the mail8 template has some composite application components - but the 3 composite application components (Notes Mail View, mini view & Navigator)do not affect the action bar in $Inbox.
I’m trying to remove the sametime Chat icon from the action bar (as we are NOT installing Sametime instant messaging) - I appear to be successful when I view the $Inbox in Designer (I remove all the Chat actions) - but the Chat icon stll appears when I open my customised mail template in the Client.
I’m also trying to make changes to the form “Switcher Form for Mail” - again my changes work when I click Design/Preview in Notes from Designer - but NOT when I open my customised mail template in the Client.
I can see when I look at MailFS (the Frameset launched when mail db is opened) that the composite application (field $CompAppName) is “NotesMailApps.xml” - should I be editing NotesMailApps.xml? Is there any documentation?
The 3 composite application components in the $inbox do not affect the action bar or the location where the form “Switcher Form for Mail” displays.
Can anyone point me in the right direction? Others must be customising the mail8.ntf template???
