Problems creating ‘New Copy’. I am trying to make a ‘New Copy’ of a database. But, I keep receiving the message ‘Database is currently in use by you or another user’. How can I correct this problem to make a new copy database?

If you are accessing the db on a server, then

  1. make sure no one is accessing the db locally or via the filesystem on that server.

  2. a show users will show who is using the db.

  3. try a drop all command at the server console, to drop the users

Make sure you don’t have a form or view open in designer locking the db out…

Done it many a time and then kicked my own azz…
