Problem with "-"!

Hello everybody,I have a simple field ,type text,editable.

My user enters info in it :“Profil en U HM3-54(pour VERNOU) Epaisseur 3mm - traité 2 faces”

The problem occurs when the “-” is in between spaces, for example when there is "3mm - traité " it is replaced with "3mm, traité "!!

But in the case where “-” is not between spaces,it doesnt do anything,for example “HM3-54” remains as it is,it doesnt replace it with comma!

Can anybody please give me a hint why is this happening? i gotta solve this for my client asap.

There’s nothing that - by design - would cause this kind of behavior. The first thing to think about would be an input translation formula, but that should be too obvious …

Have you got a space as the multi value seperator in the seperate values when user enters selection box (third tab on field properties)??

That would have resulted in way more than one comma …

Its not a multi value field so there is no multi value options activated,no separator.Also there is nothing in the input translation formula.Its a simple field with no formulas in it…only the user has to input a description of his product.

Do you think its something to do with language settings or user settings? Please any help will be appreciated.

I can’t think of any regional setting, that should influence the display of a regular text field in such a way (which doesn’t necessarily mean much).

Can you be a little more specific about when exactly this happens? On refresh? On save? Is the value shown really exactly the value you see in the item list, if you check the document from the view level?
