Problem with SSL and IE6 SP1

We are experiencing a problem accessing a Domino server using SSL and Internet Explorer 6 SP1. Here are the details:

Symptom:

The browser authenticates with the server OK, and databases can be opened. However, when performing an action like opening a document, retrieving the list of records in iNotes, or composing a new message, the browser hangs and eventually has to be terminated. The session may function as normal for a few minutes before suddenly hanging.

Specs:

This only seems to occur using IE6 SP1 and SSL. Disabling SSL results in the browser functioning as normal, and I have tried IE5.5 and IE5 and both work OK.

Client

Windows 2000 Professional

Internet Explorer 6.0.2800.1106IC SP1

Server

Windows 2000 Server

Domino 6.01CF1 (also tested 6.02CF2)

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Ian
