Problem with replication process with Domino/Notes 6

Hi,

I use a Notes/Domino system with this features:

  • Server Domino 6.5.2;

  • Client Notes 6.5.1.

I use two full client application linked to the server database and three thin client application linked to replicated copy of the database. The thin client applications are installed on Notebook PC.

I have some problems with replication process.

Sometimes some fields are non correctly valuated. For example, I have one field that has value “A” in server database and replicated copies. I modify the value of this field on the server database from “A” to “B”. When I do a replica the value of the field remains “A” on the replicated database and returns “A” also in the server database so the modified value is missed.

Do you have this problems with this version of Notes/Domino? Is it a Notes/Domino bug? Or my replication settings are not correct?

Sounds like there is a problem with the replication settings. Try:1. clear the replication history

  1. under replication settings>basics, make sure send & receive are both checked

  2. under Other, clear the “only replicate incoming documents modified after…” date

And just basically go thru the settings carefully. Generally, you want to accept the default settings on a local replica, so if you’re not sure, create a local replica of any database without changing the settings, and compare the settings on your “bad” replica with the settings on this new replica.
