Problem with RenderToRTItem method : attached file name is truncated
I use this method in a document management application: the code (triggered by an action button) integrates received E-mails in a document content database.
It works very good (about 350 docs. integrated each day) but the code gave problem with a peculiar E-mail.
The name of an integrated attached file is truncated:
VEGA SA - “VEGA”.pdf
becomes
VEGA SA -
in the target db and the attached file is thus unreadable (no application to associate of course).
I suppose it’s due to the " character.
I easily repaired the faulty doc. (copy+paste), but i’m afraid the issue comes again in the future.
Did anybody meet the same kind of problem with the RenderToRTItem method and find a solution or workaround?
Is there somewhere a parameter to set up and use?
I’d like to be sure that the attached files names are correct in the target db, or at least that the user gets an error message in case of faulty attached file name…
