hi!
i have install lotus notes 7 but i have some people who use lotus 5 the problem is that they can open the nsf file that i create on lotes note 7
any sugestions

If you create the nsf from Lotus 7 it will be ODS 43 which Lotus 5 can’t read, Lotus 5 ODS is 41. You have to compact the database using the command line -R from the console to revert the nsf back to 41. Check Notes help for the proper command but it should be something like:load compact -R mypath\mydb.nsf

and after using the compact -R you will need to rename the file with a .NS5 extension. If you don’t do this step and compact runs against the db again (without the -R param) it will change back to ODS 43.

Use the Lotus Notes 5 Designer client.
Or upgrade everyone to Lotus Notes 7.
It’s always best to design to the lowest version you have to support. Otherwise you might use design elements which are not supported by Lotus Notes 5.
