Problem with Notes URL in certain verstion of Notes

We have a database that has forms that were some season named with a number like 12345 by a previous developer.

I wanted to use a Notes URL like Notes://mydb.nsf/12345?OpenForm.

This did not work in any version of 6.5.2. So I created an alias HR12345. This worked fine for 99% of our users. But this did not work for a few users with March 2005 version of 6.5.2. Fine a bug in this version. Here is where it gets strange. If I change the alias name to PC12345 then it works fine for everyone. Can anyone theroize as to the reason PC works and HR doesn’t? And it probably is not due to sprites, gnomes or elfs. We are running the appropiate protection software. :slight_smile:

I guess you could create another form with a SaveOptions field and some name like Gateway12345 and have that form close itself automatically and compose a 12345 form in its place.

Unless that doesn’t work consistently either of course.

Bruce, EVERYBODY reacts that way when something marked “HR” comes across their desk. Why would a server be any different?
