Hello,I use Lotus Notes at my work. Today I started to experience a problem. Something isn’t functioning right in my Workspace. Usually when you hold the cursor over a Workspace icon, text appears down at the bottom saying “You have ‘so and so’ on NOTES1” It no longer does that and when I click my Workspace icon for my email, it doesn’t take me to my inbox directly, but instead to a blank screen. Also, when I try to open calenders for certain people by clicking on the workspace icons, it takes me to their email inboxes rather than to their calenders. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? I sent an email to IT support, but it is the weekend so I wont hear back until Monday, but this will bother me the whole weekend I’m sure. Thanks for the help.

Did you try deleting bookmark.nsf and cache.ndk and recreate the views. This should normally solve most of the client issues.

Thanks…but how would I go about doing that? I’m not that great with computers and such. Thanks again!

What is actually happening is…in my work space, the first box is for my mail…its the database that says “My name” on NOTES12. WHen I click it however, instead of going into my mailbox, what pops up is the side view of my mailbox where you can pick from “Inbox”, “Calender”, etc. but no inbox is shown, in place of my inbox is a grey screen. The title of the tab is “Notes MailTitle” or something like that (I forget the exact thing it says) instead of saying “MY NAME - INBOX”. The IT tech guys said they never encountered a problem like this before so I have no idea what is going on.

Do the following and see if the problem is resolved.
-
Exit Lotus Notes.
-
Search for a file named bookmark.nsf.
-
Delete the file.
-
Reopen Lotus Notes.
