Windows Server 2008 Enterprise Servicepack 2 64bit
I recently upgraded an application server to 9.0.1 which went well. Then I tried to run the fixpack 4 but it will not even start. Not even an error message.
I’ve tried restarting the server, disabling the “Windows Management Instrumentation” but it has not helped. I’ve tried the exact same fixpack file on other servers with success. I have even tried to start it from a network location.
Please advice!
Subject: Re: Problem with installing fixpack 4
Hi Pontus,
Try restarting the OS in Safe Mode.
If there is anything that is preventing the installation of the fix normally, starting in Safe Mode will usually prevent the offending process from starting in the first place
Thanks,
Mark

Subject: Other suggestions
Make sure all IBM Domino services are stopped (IBM Domino Server and IBM Domino Diagnostics).
Run ‘NSD -kill’ from the Domino program document to make sure all Domino tasks have ended.
Quit the Notes / Domino Admin client, if installed on the same machine.
Quit soffice.bin if running in the task manager.

check to see if you have an anti virus running. If you disable the antivirus, does the installation for the FP4 run?
