Problem with button added to rich-text field (possible bug?)

Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong???

I can add a button to the body (rich-text field) of a memo in my e-mail DB and, when added, the edit window opens to allow adding code for when the button is clicked.

In a doc in a DB I created, I create a button in a rich-text field and can’t get to the edit window to add any code!!! If I right-click on the button and select “Edit button” all I get is the button properties dialog!!!

What’s going on?!?!?!?

I’ve seen this in Notes 5 with newly-created computed text (haven’t tested this with ND6). Saving, exiting, and re-entering sorted the issue out for me. How about you?

No, that had no effect. I still get the properties dialog when I edit the button.

I’m not sure why, but your comment made me consider something. The rich-text field was in a document that was being accessed as a “profile”. I changed the access to create a new document (not a profile doc) and the button works as it should.

Thanks to all who responded!

Now, is this an undocumented “feature” of profile docs, did I miss the reference, or is this a bug?

Known issue, SPRed, no telling when/if it will be fixed. There’s an easy workaround – edit your button elsewhere, copy and paste into profile.
