Problem Uninstalling: install.update.xml error

I first installed Notes 8.5 (Release date Nov 18th) without the embedded Sametime Client, and now wish to upgrade to a later version. I am told I should uninstall the older version first.

However when I try to uninstall, I receive the following message:

Could not copy file: (3)The system cannot find the path specified.

Old Path: , New Path: C:\notes\framework\rcp\deploy\install.update.xml

After clicking OK, the following message appears:

Fatal error during installation.

After acknowledgement, the uninstall stops (both messages are displayed in a window with an OK button).

Any assistance would be gratefully received.

Had to uninstall HHF108 first.However, could not find switches for uninstall, but found that running the install command again would remove it :shrug:

So my removal script in short:

HHF108\hotfix.exe /S /v/qb

msiexec /X “Lotus Notes 8.5.msi” /qb

I’ve been trying to locate the HHF108 file. Is it on IBM’s support web site/FTP site somewhere?

I had the same problem and could not find the HHF108 file on my system.

I applied the Notes 8.5 FixPack 1 and after that I was able to successfully uninstall.

I do not find HHF108 program as well as “Lotus Notes 8.5.msi”
