I am trying to create new users through the REGNewUser API but I have not been able to set the AlternateName parameter in the REG_USERNAME_INFO struct.
If I don’t specify “AltLanguage” the user will be created - without any AlternateName. If I do specify “AltLanguage” (e.g. “Japanese” or “Norwegian”) along with the AlternateName, REGNewUser will fail with the message “The requested item does not exist”.
The documentation says nothing about how “AltLanguage” should be specified so I just guessed at plain text. Can anybody help?
