Hi allI have this one domino server 5.0.12 and i have a problem in that when i open any of the document in my mail files it says attempted encrytion is not supported in this version of notes. there are a lot of mail files my server is screwed up for some reason and it wouldn’t come up when i try to open the mail files locally it gives that message.the funny thing is that when i open nlnotes and open mail and that specific document or mail it will open it and the next time i use the same id which gave problem earlier it will open with that as well… any suggestion any body faced it before. i tried to build domino 7 server and copied all the mial files there but still no joy… (; it will never let me delete tht specific mails and also not lettign compact… plz help

Did you encrypt the database on the server(using server id?) OR did you copy the encrpted database from a server to another server(OS level or notes copy?).
FYI, When encrypt the database on a server it uses the server id and if you copy tis db to another server, users will not be able to access.
Another check would be check whether anybody recreated the serve id?

The database is not encrypted it has only few encrypted documents and i did OS level copyp from one machine to other machine. the funny thing is that even on the machine on which domino is not coming up when i try to open mail file with that user id and open tht docuemtn it gives tht message but then i log in as server id on nlnotes and then simply switch id to user back and it would open the documents…crazy isnt’…
