Problem Hiding/Unhiding fields on form

fld xyz has a dropdown w/3 options to select from A,B or C. If user selects A or B the hiden flds are displayed. (Note: The text and flds are hiden when form is first displayed, because these flds are the exception not the rule.) The user enters the data and moves on. At this point I do not have a problem. However, if the user decides they made a mistake and decideds they really do not want to have the hiden fields exposed they change fld xyz to C, everything hides and we are golden. However, if they space the xyz fild out the fields are not hiding. I need them to hide whenever the values are not A or B or the very first time data is entered in the form.

Below is the code that I dropped into the 6th field tab for all the fields that I wanted to hide.

!@Contains(CRApplication;“A”: “B”)

and I chked the box to hide paragraph if formula is true…

I apologize for rambling but I really wanted to try to explain clearing… thanks in advance for any help!!!

It should work. Is it a web or a client application ?

Make sure “Refresh Fields” option is checked in the dialog box field. If you dont want them to enter any other values other than A,B,C uncheck “Allow Values not in List”. This will force them to select only A,B,C.

what do you mean, “if they space the xyz field out”?

there are 3 options to select along with the capability to not select anyone of the 3. If A or B is selected I unhide the flds, if C is sel’d I hide them. If user selected A or B and then deselects each of them the fields are not hiding and they should. it’s like null is not being recognized. any ideas???
