Problem force SaveMail setting with desktop policy

Please help me to find a solution/workaround for the following following issue:

Local user preference is not updated.

I have assigned a desktop policy to users that should force the setting “Save copies of messages that I send” to “Always”.

The message “Notes configuration settings have been refreshed” is showed in the status bar.

The field “SaveMail” is set to “0” in the PolicyDesktop document in the local addressbook (view: $Policies). 0 is the alias for “Always”.

BUT, the setting is not changed in the user preferences :frowning:

Configuration:

Server version: 8.0.2

Client version: 8.0.2 BASIC

OS: Windows XP Professional 2002 Service Pack 3

How should I solve this problem??

Subject: Same problem with auto logout

Hi,

I have the same problem with auto logout for users.

Server 8.5

Client 8.5

@Notes: Is there a problem with (desktop)-policies in general?

Greetings

Markus

Subject: Interessting behaviour

That is interessting. We used a single organizational policy only (/ScanPlusDev). After I changed the organizational to a OU (/User/ScanPlusDev) the settings were refreshed properly. Using the new dynamic policies with a group worked too.

Now I have recreated the policy document for the organization and it seems to work properly too.
