Domino 7.0.2 running on SLES. Domino Configuration Tuner run on Notes 8.5 on Windows XP Pro.
DCT reports that AdminP is not running. However it shows in tasks on the server and when reloaded it reports
01/21/2009 07:23:32 PM Administration Process started
01/21/2009 07:23:32 PM Admin Process: the Administration Process is already running.
01/21/2009 07:23:32 PM Administration Process shutdown
The server version has never been populated in the server document and DCT reports:
Please report this problem as a post to the IBM Lotus Notes/Domino 8 Forum. In your report, please include the following information: config.xml=‘20080904T145715,00-04’. Thank you.
Also, please include the following information: location=‘the Server document’, setting=‘Server build number’, curval=‘’, resval=‘unrecognized’.
An early beta version of DCT had this AdminP rule problem. The following SPR was fixed half a year ago. Had you been running an old version? Do you now have the ‘halloween’ version (10/31/2008)? If you still get the problem, delete everything under the lotus\notes\data\quicktune directory and restart all local Notes clients.
I confirmed that I have the 10/31/08 design and deleted everything from data\quicktune before restarting Notes. It still reports that Adminp should be running.
Also suggests ODS upgrades for 8.0/8.5 even though it is now properly reporting the Domino version as 7.0.2
More of a curiosity than a problem in getting results from the tuner.
The Technote Dan provided led me to realize that admin4 was not replicating between this server and the admin server. Fixed that and the version field is now populated.
I will update the DCT database with the latest design and try again.
We review the information you have provided in your post. In the mean time, if this is correlated to the server build info, please review the following Technote to correctly populate the field:
Are you running the latest version? Please click “Check for Updates” and ensure there’s not a later update. If there is, please download.
